i just built a custom computer and installed a new windows XP home and have cable internet hard lined to my computer through ethernet. but when i try to connect to the internet then i get no connection.

You need to install all the drivers associated with the MBoard.

that probably means they are not install, unless you installed them. Is the sound working? How does the display look?

No, YOU have to install the drivers (chipset, video, sound, ethernet, etc). You should have gotten a drivers CD with the new board, if not, go to the manufacturer's website, download, then install.

How did you get the sound & video working?
