Hi community, I just picked up an IBM / Lenovo X41 tablet, released in 2005 the price has really come down to the $300-$400 range. It's not a great tablet by today's standards, but with a 1.5 GHZ P4 Centrino and 1.5 GB of RAM (1 GB added) it shouldn't be as cumbersome as it becomes at some times. I noticed that there are a great deal of active programs, many more than on my desktop. Most do not show up individually in msconfig startup and services tab.
My question is this: would anyone mind taking a look at my HJT log to identify any superfluous or expendable applications or processes. Many are IBM utilities that can reportedly be shut down, but I'm not sure about others. Please let me know if anyone is up to the task. Thanks so much for your help!

Programs can run from three places at startup:
1.The Startup groups
(Startup folders or msconfig Startup tab)
2.The "run=" and "load="
lines in the Win.ini file.
3.The Run and RunOnce lines in the registry
(Lots of those)

Thanks, I am updating the post and moving it to Security forum, is there any way I can delete this thread so as not to clog the forums?
