My motherboard has a built-in sound card. I fried that sound card experimenting with guitar inputs...I bought a new sound card and installed it. Computer would not boot and only beeped. I tried every PCI slot and also disabled the old sound card's driver(since i cant physically remove the sound card). Computer still won't boot. It boots fine as soon as a I remove the new sound card. Any ideas??

Did you disable "on-board sound" in the BIOS? Or just the driver within Windows?
