affected are both IE6 and 7 (XP only, not Vista)

Today's subliminal thought is: 'Calm down ... it's only ones and zeros.'

mattie, do you know why IE got hit again? Because they are the MAJOR browser, hackers don't spend time on trying to mess with minor browsers like Firefox, Opera, etc... They want the Rolls Royce and I would not put anything past the competition that they are not behind this war against M$. Makes sense to me. Minorities are desperately hoping for their moment of fame which will probably not be in the near future.

Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks

Let me see if I've got this right. Firefox is behind this because they sell their browser for.....FREE? Opera? That's free too. I can't really come up with a browser that costs money, but maybe you know something I don't.

Let's blame it on George Bush. That makes about as much sense.

Sorry, flawed logic.

Is there anything that is free? I really don't think so. But you can bet your life that if the minorities could get a monopoly on having THEIR browsers installed (bundled) on every manufactured name brand PC they would not be free....hmmmm....maybe the consumer would pay for it? LOL

Why blame Bush? That was really off the beaten path :>)

So let me get this straight, you blame the Mozilla people for making a vulnerability in Internet Explorer!!! The last I knew Microsoft people were the one's that wrote the code for Internet Explorer, now there is something wrong with it and you blame Mozilla.

mattie, do you know why IE got hit again?

What do you mean IE got hit, did someone break into Microsoft computers and change the code on IE so that it has a vulnerability? I don't think so. Microsoft made it that way. By saying "got hit again" you mean someone found a problem with IE and brought it to light. They didn't make the problem they just reported it.

I'm not saying that FF or Opera doesn't have vulnerabilities, but you can't blame a vulnerability in IE on FF or Opera or anybody else but Microsoft.

If you have knowledge about the subject and you want to stand up for IE, go find and report the vulnerabilities in FF and Opera. They will be happy to hear from you so they can fix what's wrong with their browser and not try to blame it on IE.

I guess you don't fully understand the concept of open source or free software. My world is a little brighter than yours.

"Why blame Bush? That was really off the beaten path :>)"

I was just trying to see where your logic was leading us. I am not much into conspiracy theories myself.
