Solved New Programs installed... notification stays on.

Specs: windows xp, any
After Installing more software, every time I hit the START Button I get the Message: New Programs installed. I have seen it before after installing a new Program, but it always went away after: Sort by Name. Any Suggestions?

"Right click the start button / click properties/ under the start menu tab click customize / click the Advanced tab and uncheck highlite new programs"

that only makes it reappear once re-enabled. I like the pop-up, but I don't like the fact that it keeps telling me that Firefox is installed.

it's kind of like if you repeat a word enough times it loses its meaning, but in this case its notifying me enough times that it's beginning to lose its meaning.

"that only makes it reappear once re-enabled"

Then don't re-enable it. Untick it and leave it like that.
Make sure you click 'OK' after unticking it, otherwise it will not save your setting.
