How can you get rid of, or turn off the "New Programs Installed" notice within the start button in XP?

I have not installed any new products for quite awhile and everytime that I click on the start button to shut down I get the caption.

Right click on your taskbar, select properties, select start menu, select customize, select advanced, take the check out of Highlight newly installed programs.

Get Tweak UI for XP

After you install that, open the program and select Taskbar, now take the check out of Enable Balloon Tips.
