HP is generally accepted as one of the best. I use it on my xp and it works great. I am using 832 Deskjet, prints very good color. Try it, you wont regret it. Its less than 150 right now at circuit city.

I recommend Canon I still have an old BJC600 that came out when 3.1 was around and it works under XP. I would and will soon buy another I like the fact that it has 4 different ink cartridges so I can replace the one that is empty not all of the colors when just one color runs out. various models available for whatever print jobs you do...look at their website

I would recommend the HP930 it prints excellent pictures i have a digital camera and have so far done about 50 large pics which is excellent quality. I would recommend the 930series or higher. TIP - Make sure you have seperate cartridges for black and color, i think thats the way they come now anyways. Stay away from Canon they are horrible pic printers. I have seen Epsons at the computer shows print very good pics aswell however i dont know much about their rep and durability etc. I would say go Hewlett Packard

Summary: Per, Okay ... if I can find the link to download that program from Lexmark I'll surely do that. Thank you for your suggestions though ... I really appreciate the time you gave me. :) I did email Lexma...
Summary: 1st reply: Its connected through the parallel port. I deleted the printer in control panel, removed the cable and rebooted. Xp still detected a nameless printer. 2nd reply: Funny you should mention SP...
