I want to get a new 20"flat screen PC , a cordless keyboard & mouse ,how reliable are cordless keyboard & mouse and best make please.
A print/scan/copy and printing pictures , I been told to use 5 cartridges which is cheaper & last longer ,true or false ? ,I shall only print picture occasional .
Which PC manufacturer is the best ,including after service Dell or Acer or others ?.4 years ago Dell didn't sent me a mouse matt with the PC when I asked ,I been told "you didn't asked for it . ( I'm still speechless )
As I'm in a wheelchair I can't afford to have problems with all does appliances .
Any opinion is very much appreciated .

Dell does sell accessories and computer peripherals and now more than ever it is very common to even get a free Dell printer alongside an LCD bundled with the PC. The kicker to their printer deal is that you can only to get your ink from them as they come in propietary cartridges (so beware before getting a Dell printer).

You should be able to get a good discount as a return customer, but the best deals are not those $299.00-$499.00 packages as they are nothing but cookie-cutter boxes hastily slapped together from inferior components.

A print/scan/copy machine is a lot of times like a smart kid with multiple mediocre talents and you'll only discover this after you get one of those. My advice, get a solid printer, and do your photo copies and prints elsewhere.

I have been using a cordless combo (mouse & keyboard) for about 4yrs or more now and it is okay except for the batteries (especially the mouse) that often run out at unexpected times. If you do get these you better opt for rechargable batteries and also get a charger and a couple of extra pairs so you can alternate as necessary.

Lastly the error message you were getting is literarily because of inadequate amount of memory (RAM). 256MB of RAM is only good for a show room computer running Windows XP.

I have a Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse. I have to tell ya, I love it. I haven't had any problems at all with them. The batteries for the mouse have lasted me for almost 6 months and the same with the keyboard. Actually I think the keyboard has been longer. I would be cautious of off name wireless brands because a few years ago I bought a wireless mouse and it gave me problems from day one. I had to reset it every day until I tried Microsoft.

I have a Dell XPS 400 and so far I can't complain about it. Mine did come with a mouse pad and a 20" flat panel LCD monitor. I still prefer home built systems but this is handling what I need it for. Like I said, I can't complain.

I also have a HP printer/fax/scanner and copier all in one. It's been pretty nice but I only use two cartridges. How often you have to replace them depends on how much you use them. I like it because it is all one unit but every one has their preferences.

The memory that came with the Dell was 1g DDR2 but with all the stuff that Dell already had installed along with the programs that I installed I was using half of it so I did upgrade to another gig.

i'm used many brands of wirless keyboards and mice, microsoft seem to work well at first and stop working after a while. If you getting a mouse or keyboard dont buy anything but Logitec. I have had a logitec since i bought a computer in 98. * years old still works great. Recont ly bought a loitec kb and mouse which i abuse by throwing them around and such. Still work awsome. logitec is the best in kb and mice

Thanks for spending time replaying to my request and I learned useful / invaluable information's thanks to your kind people,

I do like the 3 into 1 due to limited space , when finished printing I push the printer behind the screen which sits on a cardboards and should also leave space for the speakers , that's my idea and hope it works in practice .
The printer I use about 90% & others the rest ,hence I prefer all into one.
I looked at Digital Cameras and the Pentax S6 is £ 200 . - , looking in Google it is £40 . - cheaper .
Thanks again for your invaluable information's .
