Lost 2 Maxtor HD's on 2 machines. No recognizition on either machine. Went to Partition magic and some program had partitioned them to 16 partitions. Deleted all the partitions and reallocated and recreated the partitions. Don't know if it was a virus or NSW 2005. Just an info thing if anyone runs into the same problem.

Sounds like the work of the partition gremlin. Seriously, sounds like someone is playing games with you. Either at your KBoard or remotely.

Thx OthHill for the reply, I think it is a bad mobo. Going to replace it shortly on the garage machine. Been waiting for a reason, have one now to upgrade. :)).
