I believe I may have to get another motherboard. This decision is due a loss of video on my screen. I replaced my old video card with a more current pci card, took out the soud card, reseated the ram, swithed monitors, even switch harddrives, but no pics on the screen. Everything does sounds like it is booting up. I do hear beeps coming from the motherboard which I know indicates where the problem is. But I can't find a site that tells me exactly what those beeps mean. The beeps are 2 sec long and 1 sec apart. The motherboard is Asus a7s333. Does anyone know a stable motherboard that can accept an AMD Athlon 1800+, 384 ddr mb ram, 250 w power supply, 7200 Western Digital Hard Drive, Soundblaster 5.1 soundcard, and 32 mb pci card? I was thinking about an Abit motherboard. Thanks

Have you checked the bios settings? I just have to ask, when you have such a nice motherboard, why did you get a pci video card?

here's a site to look at: http://www.sysopt.com/biosbmc.html
depending on what bios you have, the beep codes should tell you where to start looking for the problem, Al

I can't check the Bios settings because I'm not getting anything on to show up my monitor. Well I didn't get the AGP card because I am not really big on gaming, just music and movies. But really, if my motherboard is shot, what are some good stable boards that can cooperate with the peripherals I have listed.
