I´m using two "monitors" a viewsonic (vga) and a sony lcdtv (dvi). When I installed a new motherboard the sony lcd seized to exist in display properties -settings.

Apparently it has something to do with my ati drivers since I have both monitors when I uninstall all drivers. I have two xps, one clean install and my old one. Both have the same problem. Witch leads me to believing the new motherboard has something to do with it. I have tried installing other graphic drivers as well -still the same problem.

The TV works fine at startup but no welcome screen.

bios-settings?

Assuming the board supports your LCD TV you need to enable dual monitor support in the BIOS and possibly install the Nvidia software to support HDTV. Should be on the installation CD.

I have installed the nvidia drivers but I cant find anywhere to enable dual monitor. Nothing.

The monitor that works fine is on dvi-adapter-vga. The tv is on dvi-hdmi.

Are you using on board graphics or an add in graphics card?

Thanks for answering.

I´m using an add in graphics card - Ati Radeon HD 2600xt. And that is the strange thing since it worked before I installed a new mobo.

For some reason I was thinking you were using integrated graphics.

Then ignore my suggestion to look in the BIOS for options.

If both ports on your ATI card are working during the POST screens then it is just a matter of getting the settings right.

Below is a link to the ATI page that has the CAtalyst drivers, release note and installation notes.

Do you have the CD that came with the 2600?

I have never actually used that cd, dont think i even have it in storage. I have always had omegadrivers. However when the new 8.12 came a month ago I swapped to Catalyst (for playing GTA IV). But the TV worked fine with them as well for almost a month.

I have unistalled and installed the new catalyst several times already.

I'm kinda leaning towards it being a problem with analog vs digital since the monitor and the tv works fine (as clone) when I have unistalled all drivers. That also leads me to believe its not hardware related.

I have that same card and on the CD there are a number of good points.

If you would like I could email the manual to you. It is 773KB and in PDF format.

If you want it the send me a private Message with your email.
