My Hard Drive has died, and I need to purchase a new one. I cant visit crucial.com on the computer or run any hardware compatibility tests. Can I just buy any hard drive and would it fit and work in my computer?

That depends on a couple things. I'm assuming you have Windows XP since that's where your posting.

You need to check to see if you have a SATA or PATA cable. You can find that information here:
