new folder keeps appearing and wont

hi, i keep getting a new folder appearing on my desktop and when i delete it and empty the recycle bin, the recycle bin shows the "full" icon when there is infact nothing inside it then about 2 minutes later the folder appears again repeating the loop

Go to Start/Run- type in MSCONFIG, go to STARTUP tab, uncheck item if you can identify what it might be. D/L, install, update and run both Spybot S&D and AdAware (both free. Find on Google). Does the folder have a name? If above doesn't work, D/L and install 30 day free trial of RegCrawler, type folder name in its search box. The program will bring up any registry references to the folder and you can delete.
