Hello,

As per your requests, I have added a new checkbox in My Computing.Net. This checkbox will give users the option of automatically having messages they reply to added to their My Computing.Net list. When checked, it will not only add the message to the list, it will bump it to the top and reset the "reply" counter so that the message will appear not to have been replied to since last visit. It will also remove multiple listings of the message from their My Computing.Net list.

Thank you Justin for always thinking of the users of your site.

I, personally, will continue to use the manual method as I personally don't want 'all' replies to be in My Computing.net but you caught my personal interest with...
"and reset the "reply" counter so that the message will appear not to have been replied to since last visit."

Can this feature be extended to posts that reside in My Computing.net so they don't show as having added a new reply if I reply to the post within My Computing.net?

Meaning, eg. I am tracking a thread. I see there is a response to it so I view it. This action, upon a refresh of the page, will empty the reply box or inbox. But, then, if I respond to the post it again shows the inbox with new responses.
Can it be set so that, if I reply to a viewed post, it remains as an empty box?

I did not have a chance to test it to see if it already does that now after you made the change.

Hello,

It doesn't do that now. It acts exactly like it did before if you don't have it checked. I will think about the best way to reset the reply counter for users who do not wish to have replies automatically added. In the process, I might change the system so that it saves edited titles for all replies... Let me look at it tomorrow.

Hello,

I did what bryco suggested for users who do not use the automatic adding of replies in My Computing.Net... Also, now My Computing.Net will remember personally set titles even if you have automatic replies selected.

FYI,

This new "auto update replies since last check" feature will not effect users who have multiple listings of the same message in their My Computing.Net list unless they have the automatic adding of replies selected.
