Networking XP & ME for printer sharing

HELP! Cannot network XP & ME for printer sharing. Tried everything, just will not work. Professional computer man tried for 4 hours but could not resolve. Anyone know how to do this?? Thanks for your help.

Go into the control panel. Click on NETWORK. Right Click on your network connection and get into the properties. Is file and printer sharing checked??

I've been told that xp home is not the best version for a network.I don't know witch one you have,but xp pro is the best for it,but then again I always had headaches using ME with anything I did.
