Networking two home computers with Winxp

I was wondering if anyone out there has had any problems,networking their home pcs,using Windows XP. I have home edition, and I have'nt installed it yet. My friend told me to get pro edition if I want to network.

I have four PC's networked: Two with XP Pro, one XP Home and the oldest with ME. It is quite a task...but if I can figure it out it isn't that bad. What have you tried so far?

I have Pro, Home, and ME and ended up having to install netbeui to get them to all see each other. was quite a hassle. However, others at work have just followed the use disk intructions and everything was fine. good luck

You can setup a home network with XP home. And it works just fine, thanks to the set up a home network wizzard. Just run it on a first PC and create a floppy to configure the second one. It should work.
