I'm using window Xp pro and using cable connection. When I open My network places, I can't see network connection icon and receive a message: "The Network Connections folder was unable to retrieve the list of network adapters on your machine. Please make sure that the network connection service is enabled and running"
My internet is working normal but I can't find the Lan Or hispeed internet icon in my network place folder.
Please help me to find my network connection icon back. I can't not change my network connection or anything about network. THANKS A LOT.

This is deffinitively NOT a firewall issue. This is a known issue, try the attached URL.
