network not recognizing printer

my computer recognizes my printer , but our small network which recognizes files on three computers will not recognize printer (compaqA3000) with a usb connection.

You have to share the printer before it is visible on your network. Open printers and faxes in the Control Panel. Right click the printer, and select Share This Printer. Your computers need to all be in the same workgroup, but this should already be so, if you can share files. Then, have the computer and printer powered up, go to the other computers and configure a network printer. Browsing is the easiest way to find the printer. Print a test page to make sure it works.

I too have had the same problem. I have no problems sharing my other lazer printers, but with my printer with the USB connection, It won't share or recognize on the network. Workgroup is the same.
