Hi!
I have ADSL 384 Internet Connection for almost a month now. First I installed ZoneAlarm, AdAware 6.0 and SpyBot Search & Destroy 1.2, in order to protect my PC. Frequently When I'm trying to get to a site I get the message "Network Error unable to read URL from host www.(site name).com: Socket read failed". What can I do?

Search for a file named

lsp.fix

that will repair your winsock settings

or winsockfix.zip

These are free to download.

Many times after removing spyware your winsock settings become corrupted.

Go to Control Panel -> Network Connections -> ?Select your LAN for internet -> uncheck IP Protocal, click ok. Wait a few seconds, go back check it on.

That should rebuild your stack. More importantly fix the registry.

HTH,
