Where can I find a comprehensive description on how to connect my desknote to my pc so I can download some files from there?

Both of machines have Ethernet cards and I also got a network cable (crossover), configured everything but the stuff refuses to communicate one with another.

Hi
I have no trouble with this method, if you have a digital camera with a media card, you can do it easily by using one of these tranferring file to card, then plug card reader in other pc and download file

alternatively to my last post, (I am on a lan and always had trouble with trying to use crossover cable to do it.)

Hi,U have ti give Ip address to one 192.168.0.1 to another one 192.168.0.2 try to ping,check your cabel one more time,and then also check card driver for network card.
Then just go to my comp.right clik Microsoft Windows Network ull see another PC,then u have to share what u want.But also know thatu can do it throught NETBui.But if are using XP u have to install it,by default it is n 98,ME etc.also try to check your TCP/IP if u got all the protocls instaled.Well ill be in touch:)Hope to help u!

If both of your machines are XP, there could be problems if one of them are using FAT as far as I know.

Make sure both PCs are in the same workgroup
