After running XP for two years, I've developed a new problem lately. Upon cold boot I have no network connection to my router/cable modem. If I go to control panel, network connections, select my local connection, select "Repair", then everything works fine until a cold reboot. Any ideas what changed and how to fix? The only change I've made recently was to uninstall Zone Alarm (do to it no longer allowing outgoing SMTP mail after an upgrade) and replace with Sygate Personal Firewall.

Fixed the problem. MS book says to reinstall base TCP/IP and reset registry keys to a clean state, run "netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt". Worked and fixed the problem so far!
