Specs: Windows XP
Hello,everyone!
I have a troublesome problem in using the winxp os.Everytime i boot my xp system, i have to change the advanced property of the Network Adapter manually to ensure that i can surf the Internet. If i don't do this ,i can not surf the Internet through the browser whatever. Could you tell me what's the problem and how to solve it?

Here i describe what i do to the Network Adapter everytime as a reference.
1)in the "device manager",choose the "Network Adapter";
2)right click the "Broadcom Netlink Gigabit Ethernet", click the "property";
3)in the "advanced "Tab, choose the item "Speed & Duplex", chang its value from "Auto" to "100 Mb Full" or vice versa, both seems work.
4) after processing above operation ,i can surf the Internet smoothly as usual.

Best regards!

Look in Device Manager to see if there is any error showing against Network Adapter. If so click the Uninstall/Delete button from there and restart the computer. The software will then be re-instated (new hardware found).

If that doesn't help try installing the latest driver (from the computer manufacturer). because this often fixes problems where the driver has become corrupted.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Thankyou for your kindly reply.
It seems there is no error(such as a yellow question mark) in the Device Manager, but i am not sure which may implicitly collide with the Network Adapter driver.

You could still try the Uninstall/Delete from Device Manager and if necessary update the driver.
