i have a sony wireless network card for my laptop, and every time i plug it into the slot, the comp froze, when i take it out, the comp back to normal. i already formatted the computer, and i still have the same problem. any idea? please help.. thank you..

dont plug in or take out the card when the computers on, thats a good way to destroy your card and is probably whats causing your computer to freeze!

Not to be captain obvious, but have you check for an updated driver?

Also check your services to make sure wireless zero configurator, or wireless services are on.

it could be that it really is a crappy card =/ , then just get yourself an old laptop with linux , make a cantenna , and sail the seven seas!
