Comment:

i have a problem running remote shutdown on my windows XP network

for example: let's call the immediate computer A, and the remote target B

if i were to type "shutdown -m B"

DOS replies "access is denied" does anyone know how i can change these access rights either from the host or from the target?

any help would be greatly appreciated.
thx :)

Excuse me for asking where do you get M$-DOS from, are you running off boot disks??

There is Command Prompt in the NT family and though M$-DOS commands may work in both there are subtle differences.....
