Had to reinstall Netscape 7.2 but it won't start up. 7.1 will, but not 7.2. HELP, don't want to lose 8 years of e-mail!

Do not backup on a thumb/flash drive. Flash drives have a limited read/write cycle and are notorious for crashing. They are meant for transfer of data, not long term storage.

John, I've got about 6 or 7 of them and in the 5 or 6 years I've had them I've only had one go bad myself. Personally I've had a good track record with them However, if you look at the hundreds of posts in here with people complaining about their drives going south, I wouldn't chance data being lost on them.
Fair enough THX 1138, even if it is a temporary measure, cause as you can see, the OP hasn't done anything. I'm sure the > backup netscape 7.1 email < link I gave him, has others ways.
