Hi I got problem. not sure whether is due to Net use cmd or printer? Printer model: Canon LBP3050 interface: USB 2.0 OS: Win XP SP2 I mapped LPT1 to shared printer name: net use lpt1 \\mycomputer\CanonLBP send print: type c:\test.txt > lpt1 everything ok.. map successful. can sent print. able to see the print file in queue in printer properties. But the print status file immediate change as "printed" , Pages status : N/A (set as keep printed doc) But no hard copy print out from the printer. If I do a test print from windows. It can print. any one can help? Thanks

lpt1 is not USB. lpt1 is a parallel port. I don't know how you got it to print at all.

Uninstall the printer and disconnect it from the Pc. First install the Printer drivers or printer software, from the source CD. Make sure that the printer takes USB4 port or Dot4 USB printing port. After the installation is done, connect to PC and hence it will work Regards, Syed Arifuddin
