Problem: NET SHARE DOS command does not work
under windows XP Professionnal

I'm trying to share a folder named "DAMA" by using the DOS prompt command NET SHARE.

I succesffully made the DAMA folder to become shared (I do see the correct Icon), however I can not access the folder from partner computer (I'm sure about others configuration aspects).

It seems that the sharing is done but is not actif . In order to have the sharing being actif, I was obliged to do a Unshare followed by Share by using the XP GUI (Folder -> Security & Sharing ->...).

Is it because I have used the "Network Set Up Wizard" prior the sharing.

I read that this Wizard inactivates all futur sharing untill we do the sharing manually by using the XP GUI (is this true).

I read that this Wizard cancel the sharing for protection purpose. How come my folder is shared by does not behave so ?

Many thanks in advance.

Kiz.
