Comment:

I have installed Nero Burning Rom 5.5.4. everything went smooth until I tried to use it. when I click on the Nero icon a message pop's up saying that only the administrator has permission to access cd/dvd drives. I am the administartor! There is another user on this computer but it won't work from his account either.
The original XP writing tool works fine but I happen to like Nero. I guess the feeling is not mutual:(
Any thoughts?

Thank You.

If you run regedt32 from the run command on the start menu you can go to HKEY_LOCAL-MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ahead\Nero-Burning Rom\Recorder registry entries and get the permissions on the recorder folder by right clicking it and selecting premissions. I had the same problem on my Office2K enties and when I changed the permissions for my account I had full use of my software.

Try downloading the latest updated version 5.5.7.2 at www.nero.com. The version 5.5.4.0 is not an official windows XP version.
