Comment:
I've been using Roxio in a computer with Win2K at a different location from the one i have at home, I have Nero at home with WinXP. When I format a CD-RW in Nero; Roxio reads it as a non-writtable disk, when i format a CD- in Roxio nero doesn't even shows me what i have recorded. There deffenetlly something wrong here.... does the diffence in OS could be causing this problem???

Nothing to do with the OS. Roxio and Nero physically format discs differently. If a multisession disc is left "open" in one, it cannot be added to or changed by the other. if a cd/rw is formatted in one, it can't be written to [or probably even read] in the other. Recommend using same software at both places. Will eliminate all these problems.

I presume you are referring to 'incd' and 'direct cd'. Personally I would advise you to use multisession recording since whilst it is a little slower and less convenient no specialist software or hardware is required to read the discs- you can read them with any modern cd rom drive. I have tried the 'giant floppy' approach in the past and found it to be unrewarding
