I bought a Memorex CD/DVD burner that came with an OEM version of Nero "nero6 memorex suite" I recently had windows XP Pro installed. Will this software be compatible?

Actually, I did try it with Windows 98 SE but shortly thereafter my system crashed. I took the opportunity to then install XP Pro. I was told by a slightly unreliable source that it would not be compatible and I REALLY don't need another crash incident. Any site suggestions to find out for sure? Thanks

I have the retail version of Nero 6, it work fine for me. I have heard it may cause conflict with other burning software but havent heard about causing windows to crash. I dont' know about OEM version of nero, but it should be the same, except less features. So i think that you wont have crashing problems with this software. You can either go to Memorex site or Nero site to find out.

Nero 6 was suppost to have problems with SP2 but it worked for me. But you should be able to get an update from the Nero website. I don't know about the oem version but like NAN said maybe even memorex has an update at their website.
