Nero problem

i want to burn a CD and nero always create an image to my HD and when i opened the choose recorder i only see image recorder and in virtual drive.
i opened Edit->Properties i only see my CD write as a CDROM/DVD ROM??? same case in my device manager..

But i can burn it with roxio easy cd creator and cd come out perfectly.

I had the same kind of problem when I had Easy CD Creator installed. Nero and my other burning apps had a hard time finding my cd recorder. Sometimes they would work right after a fresh boot, but eventually I got tired of it and uninstalled Easy CD 5, and now Nero works right all the time. You should try to decide which program you like best and uninstall the other one.

You need the update. Nero now recognises a lot more writers since it's first release.

Don't forget to disable the service COM mastering CD IMAPI naturally if you don't use it, it produce conflicts with Nero bye bye

A new ASPI layer wouldn't hurt you either... XP doesn't come with one...
