Nero Installation failed

When attempting to install Nero, I get the following message:

open the device manager->IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers. Right click on the appropriate IDE channel (most likely secondary) and choose properties. Go to the advanced settings tab and choose 'PIO only' as "transfer mode". now try again.
