I have been trying to install the new Nero 7 Ultra Demo-free trial for a couple of days. I have run every uninstall program that I can think of. I have used my search for anything that says nero or ahead on My Computer. Everything that was found was deleted. I ran regclean and a newer register-clearing program that found some nero stuff in reg and even shell and removed everything.

The problem is I receive the following every time I try and install Nero7 Ultra.
"In order to install Nero7 Demo it is necessary to uninstall all Nero products except NeroNet and SIPPS. Click OK if you want all applications to be uninstalled automatically or click cancel if want to uninstall manually"
So I click OK and get the following message.
The heading of the box is INSTALLATION INFO and the message in the box is
"There is already a newer application on your system. Please uninstall the newer application and start installation again"
I click OK and the message is repeating like 15 times until it tells me to close all open programs and restart pc to finish uninstall. When I do a restart it starts to search for Nero products and the entire procedure is repeated over and over again.

I have emailed Nero, but they take forever to respond, so I thought I would see if anyone here has any ideas.

Any Ideas?

Thanks
Mark

Try installing in safe mode. Or you can go hunting in the registry to find any Nero keys that may be from a previous install.

Go to the Nero website and download their "General-Clean tool". That should do the job for you.

Lessons learnt the hard way are not easily forgotten.
