I am still seeing repeated messages concerning problems with Nero Burning Rom and INCD. Here is the solution again then for those of you who require it:

Obtain a copy of Nero Burning Rom from www.ahead.de, and also download the INCD exe file from the same download page.

(Make sure you uninstall any other CD burning software BEFORE installing Nero software)

Install Nero Burning Rom as normal BUT before installing the separate INCD exe file, right click it and select compatibility with Windows 2000.

NEXT: You also need to disable the Windows XP INCD software.

To do this, right click your CDRW drive in My Computer or Windows Explorer.

Select properties/recording, then untick 'enable CD recording on this drive'

I obtained this information from the makers of Nero, and it works fine. I can now drag files onto a CDRW using Windows Explorer just like dragging to a floppy drive. It works like a dream.

Don't bother though with Easy CD Creator, it managed to crash XP all the time after I installed it, even though I had installed the very latest XP updates.

Jeff,
I have a Plextor 32X12X10 EIDE & Nero 5.5 that came with it on one computer, & a Mas---a
(Panasonic) SCSI 20X8 & the same Nero 5.5 on another computer, both are running XP

It works well on both computers as a burning medium.

I have never tried the In CD so I went to the site to D/L the latest version etc which says will update me if I am entitled, but can't get in anywhere to D/L it.
Get a message that says "connection denied by server"
Brian

Hi Brian,
I used http://www.nero.com/en/download.htm
to download both Nero and INCD
Both download links are often very busy, I find it's best to try late at night to download the file(s)
Last night, I downloaded the very latest Nero update Version 5572 but could only do so from the additional download addresses link, below the 5 main links. The best link I have found there is from a location in France.
If I get refused a download, it normally says the server is too busy, 'try again'.
I haven't had the message 'denied by server'.
I use download accelerator plus from
http://www.speedbit.com
It's often fast and resumes downloads if you get cut off, so saves starting again.
Have tried Get Right and all the others but found DAP to be the best.
Hope the above info helps you

Jeff

I'm trying to format InCD and keep getting error message: 0051-0003-0072-0000.
I downloaded the latest version 3.24.3, removed the Adaptec software, and still no luck.
Any suggestions?

If you have any idea on the following, please email me ! Thanks

InCD works fine for me but when it is active, it gives me a hard time (weird errors) reading regular CD-R in my CDRW drive while they work fine in my DVD Drive.

When I uninstall InCD, everything is ok !

It didn't solve mine i m sad to say. I have just had a bad time with "roxio" and I thought this would be better! so I bought it. Things are actually worse than before. On inserting a disk after an eject XP just bombs out, no warnings or blue screen, it just reboots.
What do we need to do get these things working, apart from crawling back to '98
