I've been having problems on and off with my cd burnder for ages but usually it either works or it fails at the start and doesnt.

Lately though it burns the whole CD except at the very end it fails! At the part where the cd is finalized. As far as i can tell though the data is readable on the cd, and it works fine. When i go to disc info in nero however it tells me that the session and disc arnt finalized. And when i try to end them using the buttons that fails too!

Basically I want to know if theres actually anything wrong with these Cd's and if its ok to just accept that it fails at the end but the cd will be ok

thanks

If the CD fails Nero's checks then it is not good, at all.

I had the same problem with my CDRW drive and Nero, I tried everything, ABSOLUTELY everything, nothing worked.

I went out and brought myself a shiny new CDRW drive and haven't had a bad burn since..........

I don't suffer from insanity, I embrace it.

What you can do it see if Nero has an update for the software you're using by going to their website. Second, you can slow down the burning rate to a slower speed. Finally, the only reason a cd finalizes is so that the cd player knows when to stop...this only affects the cd at the end - so, instead of it looping, you have to manually go forward to go back to track one again. You see, manual labor isn't so bad.

What a rude twit you are Hooner, you didnt even read my post as i said the cd works fine. Yet you tell me "it is not good, at all"
And from my experience it takes a good hour to get a reply so i hadnt checked back yet, quite why you expected some sort of reply from you're pathetic advice to buy a new cd-writer i really dont know.

thanks for the help Jason! i have a recent version of nero and i may try reducing the burn speed but 4x is slow enough as it is....although i'm guessing from what you said that my these cds failing at the end isnt a big problem, thanks
