Hi!

I got a bluescreen problem with my computer. Im trying to use the Repair Windows from the WIN XP cd when booting. When it gets to the point where its installing programs/applications it asks for the "Rtenicxp.sys" file - From the "Realtek Family all in one driverNIC 10/100/1000"

I found the Rtenicxp file in the System32\drivers folder but it still doesnt work, the progress bar goes a bit forward then completely dissapears after the screen flashes a few times. I've tried to remove the wireless network card completely but still happens, but there might be one more internet card there ? cuz before this happend i didnt have wireless, i used cable.

I cant get into safemode anymore either, the installation progess starts up immediately.

What to do? This harddisk haven't been working since april or something, I really want it back !
All help is greatly appreciated.

are you saying you PHYSICALLY removed the wireless card and still get that error?

Is this how you are doing the repair?

Since it appeared to accept the "Rtenicxp.sys" that you pointed it to and continued on, it might have nothing to do with the network.

If you suspect that the drive might have a problem, download a diagnostic from the manufacturer's web site, and run it.

Ok thanks... but I cant run the diagnostic because it starts the repair progress everytime... Tried to get into safetymode without any luck.
