No one here can say what's right for you other than suggest what's good and what works. If you really want to try Clone Remover, read the description given in the link below. Pay particular attention to the "Limitation" that is typical for the "demo" version of all paid sharewares.

If you want to use all the features it offer, be prepared to fork over $47.90USD.

Worrying about duplicate files is something I don't do. It's kinda nice to have a duplicate file when one disappears or is corrupted.
If you are running short of disk space, hard drives are not that expensive or difficult to add to your system. And they are great for doing your regular(?) backups of stuff that you would really prefer not to lose if something bad happens.

Clone Remover is okay, but it's a bit pricey for the features
that it offers. It's worth considering the amount of extra
space you can get by investing in a new hard drive or
external storage device. You might find that it's better value
for money to do that!

What are you main requirements for removing the
duplicates? Freeing up space or dealing with potential file
conflicts?

Duplicate files are often necessary. I suspect the amount of HD you will recover is minimal.

I would leave them alone before you regret it.
