I know there's a lot of posts regarding this subject but things are going so fast that I have to refresh this question to get new opinions/experience about it.
I want to buy a new antivirus for my PC. Which one do you recommend and why? I've had Norton for 3 years now and I wasn't satisfied with it..
Thanks guys !

I recommend Trend anti-virus. I had a terrible infection (thousands of files). It was contracted while my anti virus was not running (don't ask). I started up AVG and it found them but couldn't fix any. Went on line and used the Trend online check. It proceeeded to clean them but it took so long that I decided to buy it. I did and it cleaned everything up.

Thx ham30 for your fast reply. I went to Trend website. PC-cillin is the one you are taliking about ?

I can recommend Trend Micro's Internet Security - it used to be called Pc-cillin but changed it's name with the latest Edition...
...it incorporates a Firewall as well as Anti-virus - also Spam Blocker
I find it very easy to use and reliable..
...cheaper than some of the other 'big' ones too...
...you can buy it on CD from them if you look carefully at Shipping Method - better than Download

Avast! is free and has free on-line up-dates as you surf...a good choice, and is not a resource hog.
If you need a simple solution, try mine. I try to give advise on things that have happened to my PC. Changes in registry can be FATAL! I now have a 95% success rate!

Just to add my little bit...
I'm using AVG, and have been for ages. I've never (touch wood) had any viruses - it's picked up all the big ones you hear about, and loads of others too. Email protection is also included.
Best of all, it's free, with free updates....
Andy
