Need to format hard drive w/XP

Windows XP Pro is installed on my PC, because of major virus troubles I need to format the hard drive and reinstall. Just doing a full reinstall isn't enough. I have forgotten how to format the hard drive since XP has no DOS. XP's DOS clone won't do it. Any suggestions?

My XP CD doesn't give me the option to format... only to repair or upgrade or fresh install. None of which wipes the hard drive.

Just boot from the CD & go into the Windows setup where you get the three choices: repair, upgrade, or fresh. Once you choose fresh it will start to ask you partition information like which partition to put it on. You should have no trouble after that - follow the prompts! Be sure to back up everything you want to save 1st, though.
