I have a problem with my login screen. My daughter used my account to check her email, and now, under MY name it lists the number of unread email messages there are in HER account! I just want to delete this line of information and I don't know how. Could someone please tell me what exactly to do?

This should work.

1. Start regedit
2. Navigate to the subkey.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail

3. Double-click MessageExpiryDays (or create a new value of type DWORD if MessageExpiryDays doesn't exist), set the value to 0, then click OK.
4. Close regedit

Alternately if you have TweakUI, follow the following procedures

Remove Unread Mail from Welcome Screen

No TweakUI? Get it from THIS site.
