Hi guys, one simple question. I am trying to install WinXP onto my old system once again, but this time onto Sata HDD..the thing is that pc won't see any SATA HDD and asks me for a Diskette with sata raid third party controller driver, or something like that. could you tell me where could i find it? my mother board model is D845GVSR. I went to intel.com, and found page for all the drivers for my pc, but i don't think there is one for sata raid...:( please help.
Thx in advance.

Is your Sata controller an add-on card? If it is you need to know the make and model of it.

The driver disk *should* have come with the SATA controller PCI card. If you don't have it, you're gonna have to download it from the card manufacturer's website, not Intel.

If you have the CD for the PCI SATA controller card but not a floppy disk for it, there is often a program on the CD that will make the floppy disk with the files on it that you need. That may be obvious when you merely insert the CD and it starts up.

Many of the PCI cards are RAID usable and Windows requires the floppy RAID disk to setup the drive. It will not work from a CD, it must be a floppy disk. The card should have a driver CD and a floppy disk. If there is no floppy read the CD in another system and see if you need to create one.
