need help with upgrade XP Home to XP Pro

Specs: Windows XP, 2.8
Dear answer,

I have laptop pcg-9j1l (sony vaio)
the original os is window xp home edition.
but i want to use window professional and after
i set up, i have problem with fn key (hot key
utility)not work.
so what can i do to make the fn key work.

You probably need to install drivers for the extra functions. These drivers would have come as standard with the OEM version of Windows that came with the laptop but they will need to be installed separate with non-OEM version.

Having said that, why do you want to upgrade to Windows professional? What do you hope to achieve.

Unless you are connecting to a corporate network there is no advantage to installing Windows professional. The extra functions you get are all to do with network security and on a corporate network and have little use to the average home user.
