Need help with speakers

I just moved and when I hooded my speakers back up all they will do is make a really loud noise when I turn them on. Can anyone help?

Jill, you're going to have to tell us what the connections say that you hooked the speakers to. This is to make sure you hooked to the correct terminals. We all have made that mistake before. What kind of noise do they make? Is it a loud squawk or a hum, and do you hear the proper sound in the background or not?
I wonder what'll happen if I do this ?

Hi, thanks for your response. The green plug is plugged into the green spot but that is the only wire except for the power chord. Should there maybe be more chords to connect to the pink and the blue spot? The sound that they are making is a really loud squawk. There are no other sounds in the background. So far I have tried unplugging them and then reconnecting them in every other possible way, but no success.
