hi i desperatley need help with installing windows XP professional on my computer. when the computer is in the process of installing the software on my computer it stops and shows the system setup log which looks like this: --------------- SYS.dll: syntax error in manifest or policy file "e:\/386\asms\6000\msft\windows\common\controls.man" on line 0
Error Installation error Failed : E\/386\asms error message: manifest parse error: invalid at the top level of the document ------------- i don't have an online connection at home and so i may need some kind of setup files updates befor install my computer. if so does anyone know what the address is for that web page where i can get those updates if that's what the problem is. i'm updating my computer with windows 98 sec edition to windows XP professional. if anyone could point me in the right direction i sure would appreciate it. my computer will be down until i can figure this one out. thanks for looking.
