Solved Need advice on a workaround

Specs: Windows Vista Home, Intel Celeron
I have an HP Pavilion 2415nr laptop with a bad motherboard. Since the board that died has a major design flaw, I want to use something different this time around. It has an Intel processor, not the AMD.

Does anyone know for sure which motherboard(s) are compatible? It's a very tight fit and I need 100% compatibility for obvious reasons.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

You will not find another model of motherboard that will fit in your case and is you could you would still run into other problems. Connections for the screen and drives, for instance.

You have a dated entry level laptop with a 14" screen. It isn't worth fixing.

I suggest you put it on ebay for parts. Someone may need the screen or other parts.

Buy yourself a new up to date laptop.

Below is a link to your laptop specs.

As I thought, but a second opinion never hurts. Thanks for the confirmation.

There was a recall on DV2000's a few years ago. HP fixed them for free. I agree with OtheHill, it's not worth fixing.
