Need a free daily reminder program

Does anyone have any good experiences with a free daily reminder program, with pop-ups? There are some good paid ones, but I know there are some free ones out there somewhere. Basically, it just needs to be simple input (enter once, with cycling) with a pop up reminder, and maybe sound. I just want to be reminded of some routine PC maintenance stuff on certain days.

You could use windows scheduler to open a text or HTML file with the message. better yet, configure the schedule to automatically run the routine maintenance tasks automatically!

Try Mozilla Sunbird. It's a stand-alone calendar program with some great features including the ones you wanted. And it's free.
