Comment:

When I start up my computer a small icon
appears for about half a second in my system
tray, then disappears. It usually appears
between my wireless icon and Diskeeper, but
it's exact location varies.
Since it only flashes up for a moment I cant
quite discern what exactly the icon is - It's
seems to be a navy blue coloured square, with
two white wheels on it.
Can you solve the mystery??

If you have Synaptics mouse driver/software installed, it could be one of their tray icons.

Or just right click anywhere AROUND ( not on ) your time in the lower right hand
corner, and then choose PROPERTIES, then click on CUSTOMIZE, and it will
show all icons that are either in or have been in your systems tray in the past.
There will be two lists, one is for CURRENT items, and one is for PAST items. It
will also show you whether those items are hidden or not.

Good answer by JohnFL except that if you right click on any part of the Task Bar you will get the properties menu.

Take a screenshot lol, you may have to time just right though.
