Alright i've (re)installed MySQL a few times using the Automatic Installer..
But the problem with that is it makes the MySQL Directory inside C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL4.1\
Which doesn't help much since all the instructions all over the internet on how to use/startup MySQL have theirs in the directory C:\mysql\
Also it's just easier to have it inside C:\mysql\
So i thought i could just change the MySQL directory from 'Program Files' to c:\
But ofcourse it messed up shortcuts and stuff, and, MySQL used to start as a "Windows Service" (meaning MySQL starts on its own when you first turn on your computer and runs in the background.)
It doesn't do that anymore because it said the path of the executable file changed. So ofcourse i uninstalled MySQL, this time i downloaded the "Non automatic installer" and just unzipped MySQL into "c:\"
Seems like everythings fine now accept for..
I looked in the Windows Services, and the old MySQL service is still in there.

The windows service is still looking for mysql in the Program Files and i was wondering, how can i change that Directory? It won't let me edit that text.
Or maybe. How can i completely delete that Service, and create another one, so my MySQL starts as a service-Lice

Okay, that might of been to confusing.
My question: How do you edit the path of the file in Windows Services
Or, How do you delete Windows Services and create new ones?-Lice
