my xp lists no slave or master disk present

April 18, 2011 at 04:42:02
Specs: Windows xp professional
When the initial boot process takes place the screen lists no disks as present. But in bios it recognises the disks. I last remember using the disk with some art work and it was totally full and crashed. Since that crash it has listed no master nor slave the XP disk appears to allow a install as it recognises unformulated partitions. I have some 24 000 inmages for one work is was completing is their away that I can somehow access the drives of make them recognisable or boot the system without loosing all of my work.

You have 24,000 images for work & no backups? Try booting off a Linux Live CD & see if you can access your files.
