Hello folks! I have installed windows xp on this new 120gig hard drive I got from WD, I installed windows xp Pro and it works fine with the exception that it did does not detect USB connections. I went to INTEGRATED PERIPHERALS and turned USB ON CHIP to ENABLED, and XP started detecting the USB, but a second later it would freeze, resulting on me having to DISABLING it in order to have the program to load properly...Any suggestion on how to fix this problem!!! I already re-installed XP and it did not work...
thanks,
Alex

see if there is an update for your bios,
unplug all usb items, and then reboot once you are operating add your peripherals one at a time.
check in your bios that your OS is enabled under pnP OS, or have your bios detect all PnP devices.
better still set ur bios to default and then start playing around if it dont boot/

XP didn't come with a USB driver. You have
to go to Microsoft and download in Windows Updates.
